    About the Ride

Totaling nearly 250,000 participants since 1981, UPAF's Ride for the Arts sponsored by Miller Lite is regarded as one of the nation's largest one-day recreational bike rides. Help celebrate the 30th year of this annual summer favorite, which has generated more than $6.7 million for the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF).

    WHEN:
    Sunday, June 6, 2010

    WHY:
To help keep our performing arts scene dynamic and a vital part of our community's culture. UPAF is among the nation's largest united arts funds in terms of dollars raised and number of donors. The organization provides financial support to 34 beneficiary groups.

WHAT: UPAF’s 30th annual Ride for the Arts sponsored by Miller Lite. The Ride offers a 5-, 12-, 25-, 65- and 75-mile bike route. After the Ride, participants can enjoy the Forest County Potawatomi Community Foundation Finish Line Party at the Potawatomi Stage, Summerfest Grounds. The party includes entertainment, performances from UPAF groups, and children's and sponsor-related activities.

WHERE: The Ride starts and finishes at the Summerfest Grounds, 200 North Harbor Drive. The various routes travel past several Milwaukee landmarks and continue along the scenic shores of Lake Michigan through numerous Milwaukee-area communities and parks.
